Truck Ramp
Run away from all the problems she tows just to be with me
So down the highway we go our intentions are to be free
Open road and blue skies we are going fast, will it last?
Just then I grin as I see the sign "runaway truck ramp ahead"
I looked at her she looked at me, me at her she at me.
There was no place we had to be.
In a mile both of us all smiles we make our run away up the ramp.
We didn't get far but when she gazed at me I new we would go all the way.
Run away truck ramp with nothing in tow you never know how far you can go.

The Old Victor Cabin
Not much around there, you can hear the train whistle blow coming up from below
The old cabin needed a new roof but it only got repaired
Working that worthless claim takes all my time, just to make a dime
Build a fire at night to get the temperature just right
Built that big stone fireplace with my paw,
hauled those stones up from the mine sure took a long time
Spent many a cold night in that old Victor cabin
Not much around there, you can hear the train whistle blow coming up from below
Pulled a nugget of turquoise from the mine today, was a good piece that should buy me some more time
Stock certificates And book ends won't help ends meet
Golden stands of aspen so grand sitting at ten thousand feet
Spent many a cold night in that old Victor cabin
Not much around there, you can hear the train whistle blow coming up from below

Ruby Mountain
Up on Ruby Mountain that's where I wanted to be.
Up on Ruby Mountain we found the body who could it be.
He was Cold as ice stiff with death poor lost sole we need to find out who he would be.
It was up on Ruby Mountain, rocks that glean, big holes deep in the ground.
Poor lost sole never going to be around, up on Ruby Mountain.

Oatmeal for Breakfast
While listening to blue grass and planing our day.
She goes this way I go that just trying not have a heart attack.
Back home she likes it mellow gets her cello, I'll take the mandolin my friend.
We can't play much but we sure have fun out in the sun
We have oatmeal for breakfast everyday.
While listening to blue grass and planing our day.
She goes this way I go that just trying not have a heart attack.

My Zydeco Girl
My zydeco girl
Met my zydeco girl at the homeless shelter
Man it was helter skelter
My zydeco girl
My zydeco girl
She tells me she was cool
Then that dam katrina made her
Soo much meaner
My zydeco girl
My zydeco girl
Man it was helter skelter at the homeless shelter
Oh my zydeco girl
My zydeco girl
She came to the mountains, heard it was cleaner
But she keeps getting in fights and that makes her even meaner
my zydeco girl
I love that zydeco girl
Oh oh My zydeco girl

Mile 303
With a Blue Moon above, Snowflake and Show Low in the distant glow
History has been written this New years day, as years past. Famous people die and other people become famous. War and peace under a bright Blue Moon sky
Mile 303 I don't know why
Alternate energy electric cars our technology has taken us so far
The red lights of a wind farm across the desert floor we're not using coal any more
A generation of changes but how does it make us any better than before
Blue Moon above making history of your own
What will we see in nineteen years from now at mile 303

I Painted Her Bullets
She has many stories to tell, oh and always so well
When the fire gets in her eyes I know I'd better make me some time
So I paint her bullets, yes I paint her Bullets
She's grabs her gun as I begin to run
I look back as I grab my hat, hand in the drawer she grabs at least four.
Painted bullets rainbow colors stars and moons, smiley faces too
She takes a look cracks a grin then grabs some more as I pass through the door
Painted bullets hit the floor out the door I hear her yell don't you come back here no more

His Name is Christo
A canyon out west they're next quest.
Environmental impact, traffic flow the community won't grow.
The days have taken it's toll and now Christo dreams alone. Fabric for miles just to bring smiles but traffic flow makes the worries grow.
Christo's dreams are close to his heart, Jeanne-Claude is his light,
We can only hope the community makes it right.
Jeanne-Claude we can see you over the river tonight.

Cub in the Tree
Just got home with lots to do
Getting pulled this way and that
Dogs a bark'n nothing new
People to meet got to get down the street
Dogs a bark'n nothing new
Out the door and what do I see
A cub in the tree looking down at me
Dogs a bark'n nothing new

Christmas Time
We pack up the pups, get a couple of hot cups
And on the road we go
Christmas Time, oh it's Christmas time
We're getting out of the house and heading south
Stop at Santa Fe on the way
Just a pit-stop always a quick stop
Down through Gallup and across the rim
Arizona by ten
Christmas time, oh yea it's Christmas Time, Christmas Time again
